Eversolar engineered and delivered a scalable Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System for the Marlo Farms - combining 1.6 MWp of solar capacity with 4.1 MWh of battery storage, distributed across 12 km of distribution lines and 10 separate points of supply.

The result is a centralised energy solution, designed to support the farm’s daily energy requirements through solar generation and stored power. The project also included the world’s first DC charging solution with Sigenergy, adding another layer of innovation to an already complex energy system.

Projects of this scale and complexity don’t happen alone. We appreciate everyone involved in bringing this project together.

Marlothii Farm presented a unique challenge: a large agricultural operation with multiple loads spread across kilometres of land.

Eversolar designed and installed a complete microgrid solution, combining Sigenergy's modular battery storage and hybrid inverter technology with solar PV and grid integration to create a more resilient, energy-secure operation.

With a modular system that can expand as the farm grows.

We’re proud to announce that our G3 Citrus Containerised BESS Project has been awarded Solar MD– National Project of the Year.

Delivered in partnership with Decentral Energy, this project showcases the power of scalable, off-grid energy storage to support seamless agricultural operations.

The 40ft containerised system includes 2.28 MWh (to be upgraded to 3.24 MWh) of energy storage, 400 kW charging capacity, two external 1.2 MW Power Conversion Systems and 1.6 MWp. This robust setup ensures uninterrupted production for G3 Citrus, highlighting the impact of advanced storage solutions in the agricultural sector.

Eskom Tariff Hikes Confirmed – Time to Take Control of Your Energy Costs

South African businesses will pay nearly R100 billion more for electricity after Nersa admitted mistakes in its revenue calculations for Eskom. A new R54 billion settlement means tariffs will climb even higher:

* 2026/27: 8.76% increase (instead of 5.36%)
* 2027/28: 8.83% increase (instead of 6.19%)

With costs rising and uncertainty mounting, companies cannot afford to rely solely on Eskom.
