Today, the BRAS Consultants Group team attended the WHX World Health Expo Johannesburg 2026 (formerly Africa Health) at the Gallagher Convention Centre!

An exciting opportunity to explore emerging healthcare technologies, engage with industry professionals and discover innovative solutions shaping the future of healthcare in South Africa and beyond. 🌍

🔬 Our focus? Exploring medical consumables, healthcare equipment, advanced clinical simulation technologies and educational resources that could further enhance the quality of our training programmes and services.

From AI-powered medical simulation and realistic patient training systems to clinical equipment, infection prevention and sterilisation products, the exhibition offered valuable insights into the evolving healthcare industry.

🤝 Beyond the technology, today was also about building relationships, exchanging ideas and identifying opportunities for future collaboration with organisations and suppliers across the healthcare sector.

At BRAS Consultants Group, we believe that continuous professional development, innovation and meaningful industry connections are essential to delivering quality education and services.

🎓❤️ FOR FUTURE DOCTORS | CENTURION, PRETORIA ❤️🎓

One certificate. Four unforgettable days. Hopefully, the beginning of something much bigger. 🩺✨

Our second group of Centurion students had their turn at one of only two FFD graduation ceremonies we hold during the year. 🤪🎓

Behind every certificate is a completely different aspiring medical professional — different schools, backgrounds, personalities and dreams, but one shared curiosity about a future in medicine. ❤️

To each of you: keep going.

Keep asking questions. Keep researching your options. Work hard. Stay curious. Take opportunities when they come, and remember that there is rarely only one road towards the future you want. 🌱

We hope these four days gave you more than photographs and a certificate — we hope they gave you a more realistic understanding of medicine and a clearer idea of where you might fit into it.

Four days later… they made it! ❤️

After four incredibly busy days of learning, practicals, questions, laughter and exploring medicine, our Centurion Future Doctors officially reached the end of their programme. 🥹✨

And Centurion gets something a little special…

We only hold our informal-formal graduation ceremonies twice a year — at our Centurion and December programmes. 🤪🎓 So yes, these guys got the photographs and their moment!

Each student received a Certificate of Attendance, reflecting their participation and community hours completed during the programme. ❤️

To every student: well done!

This one is for our CHOP™️ students. 🌱

Throughout our Centurion programme, our Community Hours & Outreach Programme students worked quietly behind the scenes — helping with setup, equipment, practical stations, supporting students and somehow keeping up with all the little things that make four busy days run smoothly. 😂❤️

But CHOP™️ is also part of their journey as aspiring medical professionals. By volunteering, they continue developing teamwork, communication, responsibility and confidence while learning alongside our Future Doctors.

Perhaps one of the best parts is watching students who once needed guidance begin helping the next group find their feet. They learn, they assist, and then they help someone else learn too. 🩺✨

Some traditions become more special with every name added. ✍️✨

At the end of each For Future Doctors Programme, students officially leave their mark by signing our 2026 Lecturer’s Jacket — adding their name alongside the many aspiring medical professionals who joined us throughout the year.

Names and surnames, different schools, different backgrounds and even different countries of origin now cover the white coat. Alongside them are little pins and keepsakes gifted by students throughout 2026 — each carrying its own memory. 🌍❤️

The jacket is almost full now, but every signature represents the same thing: someone who took the time to explore medicine, ask questions and discover whether this could one day become their future. 🌱🩺

Who said learning medicine has to stay inside the classroom? 😂☀️

Our Centurion Future Doctors took learning outdoors for “CPR in the Park” — an introduction to Hands-Only CPR and the basic principles behind recognising cardiac arrest and responding in an emergency. 🫀

Moving outside gave students a different environment to learn, work together and practise the sequence on training manikins — because sometimes the best learning happens when you change the scenery. 🌿✨

For aspiring medical professionals, exposure like this is about understanding that medicine extends far beyond textbooks. It involves communication, teamwork, confidence and being willing to act when it matters. ❤️

This remains educational awareness and simulated practice only. Students practise on training equipment and participation does not qualify or authorise them to provide medical care or practise skills on real patients.

Fresh air. A little CPR. A lot of learning. 🩺🌳

Different schools. Different backgrounds. Different stories. One shared goal — a future in medicine. 🤍

Some of our favourite moments from Centurion aren’t necessarily found in a practical or presentation. They’re the quiet moments in between — new friendships forming, students learning together, helping one another, laughing and simply enjoying being surrounded by people who share the same dream. 🌱✨

For four days, our aspiring medical professionals get to step into a space where it’s completely normal to be curious about medicine, ask a million questions 😂, explore the field and discover whether this really could be the future they want.

Because the journey into medicine will require knowledge, but also teamwork, communication, resilience and people who understand the road you’re choosing. 🩺❤️

Sometimes the road to becoming a doctor takes you much further than you expected. ✈️🌏

Our Centurion Future Doctors had the opportunity to hear from Dr Aanisah August, who shared her personal journey of studying medicine in China, graduating abroad and returning to South Africa, where she successfully completed the HPCSA Board Examination. 🩺❤️

Studying medicine internationally can open another pathway for aspiring doctors, but it also comes with important considerations — from choosing a university and adapting to a different country and culture, to understanding the requirements involved in returning to South Africa to pursue professional registration.

Having someone who has actually walked that road gives our students something more valuable than a Google search: real experience, real challenges and the opportunity to ask real questions. 🌱

For Future Doctors is about showing aspiring medical professionals that there may be more than one road into medicine and helping them explore their options before making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. 🤍✨

What do the numbers actually tell us about a patient? 👀

Our Centurion Future Doctors explored the foundations of patient monitoring and vital signs — including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, pulse oximetry, peripheral pulses, and listening to heart and lung sounds. 🫀🫁

But we made them think first! 😂 Students were challenged to guess normal values, explain what each measurement represents and identify how it is measured before putting the theory into practice with their classmates.

From finding a pulse and using a blood pressure cuff to listening through a stethoscope, the workshop gave our aspiring medical professionals a preview of how healthcare professionals gather basic clinical information and begin making sense of what they observe. 🧠✨

Because medicine isn’t simply about remembering a “normal number” — it’s about understanding what you are measuring, why it matters and what the body may be telling you. ❤️

These activities are educational simulations and peer-based practicals only. They introduce aspiring medical professionals to concepts they may encounter in future formal studies and do not qualify or authorise students to assess, monitor or treat real patients.

Learning today. Understanding tomorrow. Maybe practising medicine one day. 🩺🌱
