Pulley lagging is rubber / ceramic coating on drive pulley to stop conveyor belt slipping.

Steps on the pulley lagging process:

1. Prep
- Lockout conveyor belt
- Remove belt from pulley or lift it
- Clean pulley with grinder - remove old rubber, rust, grease

2. Prime
- Apply metal primer on clean pulley
- Let dry 30-45 mins

3. Mix & Apply Cement
- Mix cold bonding cement (2-part)
- Apply 2 coats on pulley plus 1 coat on back of lagging sheet

4. Apply Lagging
- Wrap rubber/ceramic lagging sheet tight
- Start from center, roll out air bubbles with hand roller

5. Finish
- Press seams tight, cut excess
- Let cure 4-6 hours before running belt
- Check tension and tracking

The glue you see on this video is a REMA TIP TOP SC 2000 - It is a 2-part cold bonding cement we use for conveyor belts.

It works by creating a strong chemical bond between rubber-to-rubber and rubber-to-metal without needing heat. When mixed with its hardener, it cold-vulcanizes - meaning it fuses the materials together to become one strong, flexible joint that can handle heavy mining / industrial loads.
