Acceptance, identity, safety, and meaning are some of the most basic human desires. As much as these needs can be fulfilled on a human level, they can't be fully met until they are met by God. Our daily relationship with Christ is the most important aspect of our lives. We will be satisfied and able to relate to others healthily if we look to Him to meet our deepest needs. In contrast, if we don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, we'll naturally look to others to provide for our needs other than God. But God will not “divinely inject” us with His Word. To do so, we must daily open God's Word. Read it, learn it, believe it and live it!
