Another week, another exciting day on site at Central Park City, Newlands North!

It’s rewarding to see the building façades taking shape and the surrounding external spaces becoming tangible. With each stage of construction, the design vision moves closer to reality, revealing how the architecture and outdoor spaces will come together to create a cohesive environment.

WORLD ARCHITECTURE DAY | Housing is a Human Right. Build It.

This year’s World Architecture Day theme speaks directly to our designers’ hearts.

With a long history of designing housing developments, from the initial development framework through to the final unit design, we aim to create more than just places to live. We strive to design projects that foster community, promote dignity and contribute meaningfully towards addressing South Africa’s housing shortage.

Over the years, we have learnt how to pursue these goals within the many constraints of the housing industry, while using thoughtful, sound design to enhance the everyday lives of the people who ultimately call these places home.

Today, we celebrate the housing projects of our past while looking towards the future — embracing new opportunities, technologies and ideas to expand what is possible through architecture.

MOGALE CITY CIVIC CENTRE | PROGRESS UPDATE

The vision for the façade is starting to take shape as construction progresses on the Mogale Civic Centre.

A considered mix of materials helps integrate the new extension with the existing structure, while the main glass façade introduces a contemporary identity through horizontal copper-coloured glass panels. The panels also incorporate the municipality’s corporate colours, creating a strong visual connection to Mogale City.

It is exciting to see the design evolve from concept to reality, with the façade now beginning to reflect the architectural vision we set out to achieve.
