WHAT'S SIZZLING ON FACEBOOK?

As you might know, trends come and go year in and out. With the list below you might find some things that have been there while some are new, maybe. But, we hope that you get inspired to incorporate some of these 2021 Facebook trends in your content strategy for your social media accounts.

1. Chatbots have been growing and they are still in season.

2. Small business support, with the pandemic still hovering everywhere, more platforms are looking into making their networks more SMME-friendly. Woo-hoo!

3. User-Generated Content aka UGC will always be King! Engagement from your customers brings forth a great connection.

4. Facebook LIVE, more visuals the better.

5. Augmented Reality is still growing, some brands are already maximising on having AR filters and effects that customers can use and share. Did someone shout "MORE BRAND AWARENESS"?!

6. Video Marketing, polish your editing skills and put in those hours.

Before getting into the final stage of posting online, what are you trying to achieve on social media? Is it sales, vanity metrics or are you trying to raise awareness? Once you’ve established what you want to achieve you will be able to create content that resonates with your followers and your goals will be met eventually.

So, I have created a step by step guide that will assist you in knowing where to start. So here goes…

1. Create content pillars that answer to the marketing funnel. The funnel goes like this: Awareness – Interest – Desire – Action – Loyalty

2. Thereafter decide on the duration you will be putting out information in each funnel stage. E.g. The awareness stage will run for two weeks. In those two weeks your content will revolve around raising awareness only, under the pillars you have set for YOUR company.

3. For instance, your company pillars may look like this: Insight, Inspire and Services. This means for the awareness stage you will be thinking of ways you will be communicating to give insight, to inspire and to share your services to your followers.

4. Once you have established all this, you can now focus on the delivery of your content, the creative part. You will start writing copy that speaks to your pillars under the funnel stage you are in, followed by the content format that will support your copy.

5. When done, you will now be ready to publish your content with direction and goals to achieve.

6. As a bonus I will give you content ideas that you can use:
- How to … like a pro!
- Simple things you can do to …
- # Smart ways to …

Remember, with content you should explore. Don’t limit your creative flow and compromise on the greatness of what your company can offer to your audience. I hope you enjoyed this post. Comment below if this was helpful.

If you have a company that has no social media presence, then this post is for you.

There are many reasons why you could fear social media but that shouldn’t be the reason why social media marketing shouldn’t be a part of your overall strategy.

Let’s take it back to 2019, everything was normal and fun, your sales were booming, and all seemed well without thought that things will change in a blink of an eye. When 2020 came many things changed, especially in the way of working.

Everyone had to find ways to make it work so they could keep their businesses afloat. With such happening, many companies and brands resorted to their social media platforms to communicate and generate lead sales.

Some companies even shifted their budgets more towards social media marketing, because everyone was suddenly forced to be virtual. In as much as the world has already shifted, you haven’t, and you are scared of one of the many reasons you have.

You don’t have to be afraid; you don’t have to be left behind because of fear. Social media is a great space where you can control your narrative, where you can reach a larger audience than you already are.

This is a global village that you need to set foot in and fortify who you are, what you do and what you stand for. Your customers and potential clients are waiting to see you do or say something that they resonate with.

Embrace the new normal and watch your company steer in the right direction because of your social media presence. You can do it!
