You can only drive your priorities effectively when your resources are properly planned and aligned.

But these principles remain constant:

✔ The Wellness of your Resources —
Money. Manpower. Methods. Machinery. Materials.
And the Environment in which you operate.

✔ How effectively you monitored, measured and analysed the data generated from last year’s operations.

✔ And most importantly:
What will you focus on in 2026 – 2027 that will create measurable improvement?

If something on the drawing board does not improve your business — don’t change it.

Strategic growth is intentional. Not emotional.

CEO, CFO, and COO are top-tier executive positions (the C-suite) in a company, each responsible for a distinct but interconnected area of the business.

1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO): The highest-ranking officer, the CEO is the primary decision-maker and visionary leader. They focus on the company's long-term goals, growth, and innovation, and report to the board of directors.

2. Chief Operating Officer (COO): Often considered the second-in-command, the COO translates the CEO's vision into actionable plans and ensures daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. The COO generally works with department heads and focuses on internal processes, logistics, and human resources. Not all companies have a COO.

3. Chief Financial Officer (CFO): The head of the finance department, the CFO is responsible for the organization's financial well-being and stability. Key duties include budgeting, financial reporting, managing investment portfolios, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The CFO typically reports to the CEO.

Collaboration and Hierarchy
These roles must collaborate effectively for the company's success. For example, when planning a new product launch, the CEO provides the overall vision, the COO develops the operational plan and timeline, and the CFO creates the financial plan to ensure it is achievable within budget.

While the CEO is the highest position, the hierarchy below can vary, though the COO is generally seen as the second-highest operational rank, followed by the CFO in terms of overall company management.

I’ve gone through the proposed changes… and while I get what ISO’s trying to do, I’m struggling to see how some of this plays out in real life (especially here in SA 🇿🇦).

Are we really saying organisations can prevent climate change? Or is this just another expensive checkbox nobody can afford? 😬

How do we promote ethics in a country where corruption is practically an elective module? 😅
Risks here are often “tolerated” — until something serious happens… then it’s all red tape and headlines.
