Water monitoring, biomonitoring and wetland delineations are but a few of the services we offer.

Yesterday we found ourselves in the beautiful Mpumalanga highveld, just below the mistbelt, doing seasonal biomonitoring and taking water samples.

These samples allow us to monitor the ecological state of the rivers over time to ensure effective water resource management.

Wildlife conservation is critical for the sustainability of the planet's ecosystem and human well-being. It is necessary to take active steps to protect and preserve wildlife for future generations.

Menco offers Aquatic and Terrestrial Biodiversity Assessments to identify potential impacts on the local biodiversity and provide recommendations as part of environmental authorizations.

Today is WORLD WETLANDS DAY and the theme of "It's time to restore Wetlands" could not be more pertinent.

Globally wetlands are being lost at an alarming rate, with 35% of the world's wetlands having already disappeared. Wetlands not only house incredible biodiversity, they also provide irreplaceable ecosystem services, which are crucial for mitigation and adaptation considering the climate crisis we face.

Menco's aquatic and wetland specialists are dedicated to the protection of Africa's wealth of wetland systems, following the best-standard practices.

Menco recently assisted in a River clean-up and rehabilitation initiative after a recent oil spill had taken place within the Edenvale area. Menco conducted aquatic ecological assessments in which the water quality, aquatic macro-invertebrates, River habitat conditions, as well as fish species were assessed. Within three months it was clear that the River system had re-established itself to its original health status.
