PAJ Community Patrollers Community Patrolling in which dedicated patrollers are complimented with volunteers. Routine unarmed patrolling to ensure that the entire area is safe.

PAJ Community Patrollers is a company born from the Love of my area & a passion for helping people. The intention is to make the whole community safe by offering dedicated patrollers to compliment volunteer patrollers in your area. Volunteers will receive a discount on subscription fees & full benefits of the service.
1. (Foot, 2-wheeler, Quadbike, motor-vehicle & occasionally horses) – Patrollers

will be volunteers from the community complimented by paid guards.
2. Daily Updates via messenger service. I am in the process of having an app developed which will be tested in our area for free. The more residents who sign up, the smaller the area each patroller will have to cover. Seeing as though non-paying residents will also be kept safe, subscribers will be rewarded with extra perks. Rewards offered:
1. Free perimeter checks on premises.
2. Courtesy Services when residents arrive at home & do not feel safe.
3. Screening of domestic helpers. Subscribers will receive a certain number of free clearances for every 6 months.
4. Welcome pack for yearly subscribers: Torch, basic first aid kit, whistle, reflective vest.
5. Card system for trusted employees.
6. Password Access to the national Community Patrollers website.
7. Community Patrollers Mobile App which will link to the website.

Last night our control room received a report that a Debonairs delivery bike from Atteridgeville was hijacked on Himalaya street at Delhi ave.
We immediately called the tracking company.
Once they sent us the location. Multiple first responders rushed to recover the bike.
Later, R006 and R007 assisted to take the bike to the impound as a case had been opened.

On Thursday, another delivery bike was also tracked to Itireleng but we could not locate it.

Attempted Bike Hijacking on Tuesday night 17th March in Laudium Ext3.
At 20h07, a routine delivery to Banaras Avenue ended in trauma for a delivery rider.
As he completed the delivery, 2 suspects, one of whom was armed, approached. The vigilant rider noticed them and ran, throwing his helmet to slow them down. He got away with all his belongings, including the bike's key. One of the suspects came back to get the motorbike, which he then rolled away.
A friend of the victim saw his bike being pushed by a stranger and approached the suspect, who then ran towards Itireleng through the Delhi street gate.
This 2-minute video shows residents just how quick a hijacking occurs.
PAJ COMMUNITY PATROLLERS, Laudium CPF, SAPS and residents stopped to assist. The bike was returned to the rider without a case being opened.

PAJ COMMUNITY PATROLLERS aims to set up more of these cameras up around Laudium and Erasmia in an attempt to curb crime.
Using intelligent cameras as well as license plate recognition cameras linked to their 24-hour control room, the company, which turns 11 next April, intends to preemptively curb crime. Stolen vehicles or vehicles that have been used in crimes will be flagged as they enter the area. Their rapid response division will then intercept the vehicle.
Businesses and residents are urged to contribute to the SAFER TOWN INITIATIVE to prevent hijackings, break-ins, and abductions, among other crimes.

2 Big Puff Adders caught in Laudium Extension 3:
Apart from the usual security and medical calls that our control room attends to, we also receive calls for other emergencies. Our emergency number received 2 calls in the last 2 days to report Puff Adders. Our trained controllers called local snake catcher Mohamed Haroon on both occasions, and he immediately went out to catch them and safely relocate them.
Snakes are more afraid of humans than we are of them. They will not bite unless they see no other option to escape. We urge residents not to harm snakes and to call our control room while keeping an eye on the snake from a safe distance.
