Creative Expressions 2022 has been launched. Our young entrants display their heart felt song, poetry, crafts and art. Every year the ripple effect of creative expressions is felt throughout the clubs.

Girls are more confident. Entrepreneurial ideas are birthed. Talent is spotted and youth are given an opportunity to shine their lights.

The Creative Expressions competition challenges young people in clubs we all support in Zambia, Zimbabwe and Madagascar to offer a glimpse into their lives using the arts as a window. Young people have written, danced, sung, drawn or crafted their hopes, passions and concerns — giving us a deeper understanding of why we do the work we do.

Empowering Prizes:
The financial challenges of attending school in Southern Africa can be daunting — and so the Creative Expressions prizes help keep young people learning and on their way to a life of greater opportunity.

The contestant whose entry receives the most overall votes within their age group wins an educational package that includes school fees, supplies, a uniform or whatever is needed! Winners in each of five categories receive smaller awards that contribute to their schooling.

This art piece was a winner in last year's contest, from Simon Siantumbula (16) at Boys Club in Zambia. Which creative pieces will win this year, you get to help decide, by casting your vote between now and the 31st July 2022.

It’s taken months of hard work and dedication to get here, and I’m so glad that I committed to my dreams and made this happen! I’ve learned so much along the way!
