The members of ERO have extensive expertise in energy audits, energy management programs, project management, Eskom DSM process, design supply and installation of energy management projects, energy management training etc. ERO has metering and logging equipment to measure load profiles and develop baselines. ERO has developed various energy management training and awareness interventions. These ensure that the whole organisation becomes aware of the energy management program and energy conservation which is necessary to ensure sustainability. We also have associations with a number of service providers and technology suppliers. Geographical Area of Operation
ERO operates Nationally. We have done work in Gauteng, KZN, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga, Free state, Limpopo, Nothern Cape and Northwest Province.

Waste Myth June: Not Everything in the Recycling Bin Gets Recycled โ™ป๏ธ

One of the most common misconceptions about waste management is that every item placed in a recycling bin will automatically be recycled.

In reality, contamination is one of the biggest challenges facing recycling facilities. Food residue, liquids, plastic bags, and non-recyclable materials can contaminate entire loads of recyclable waste, causing valuable materials to be diverted to landfill instead.

Polystyrene recycling is often misunderstood.

Many people assume it cannot be recycled, but expanded polystyrene can be recycled and repurposed into new products.

The challenge is that recyclable does not automatically mean recycled.
For polystyrene to have a second life, it needs to be clean, separated correctly and collected through the right recycling or recovery stream.

That is why proper waste management matters.
When materials are handled correctly, waste can move from landfill risk to resource opportunity.

Our team recently swapped spreadsheets for paintbrushes at our "Secret Mug Society" team social, held at Create Red Barn.

Each team member was tasked with creating and painting a mug for a fellow colleague based on their interests, personality, and preferences. The creativity, thoughtfulness, and artistic talent on display exceeded all expectations, with everyone putting in a tremendous amount of effort to ensure their mug was something truly special for the recipient.

To make the day even more meaningful, the team also participated in The Reach For A Dream Foundation'๐ฌ ๐’๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ, proudly showing our support while enjoying a day of creativity and connection.

๐ŸŒฟ Environmental awareness in action at the beautiful Drakensberg Sun Resort!

Our team recently conducted an ๐„๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐Œ๐š๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ with the HOD team, focusing on sustainability initiatives, environmental responsibility, and practical ways to improve operational efficiencies.

During the workshop, the HOD team was educated on how to assess potential risks related to energy and water waste, as well as which tools and information are required to successfully manage efficiencies within the property.

ERO will also assist in investigating the changing property demand in order to identify opportunities to reduce operational costs while maintaining efficient performance.

To wrap up the session, participants took part in an ๐ž๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ณ. Congratulations to ๐’๐ก๐š๐ฎ๐ง ๐๐š๐ฎ๐๐ž, who came out on top and won himself a pair of ERO socks! ๐Ÿ‘
