On 16-17 September 2026, participating non-profit organisations in the CIIVIC Project gathered in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, for a two-day Capacity Building Workshop focused on strengthening the skills and systems needed to deliver sustainable, accountable and impactful community-driven initiatives.
The workshop covered three key areas: Financial Management, with a focus on sound systems for the responsible management of organisational resources; Monitoring & Evaluation, equipping organisations to track progress, measure results and demonstrate impact; and Project Management, strengthening their ability to translate plans into well-coordinated and effectively implemented projects.
Beyond building technical skills, the workshop formed part of the CIIVIC Project’s continued investment in strengthening the institutional capacity of community-based organisations. By equipping participating organisations with practical tools and knowledge, the project seeks to support stronger governance, greater organisational sustainability and more effective community-led responses to climate change and the Just Energy Transition across Mpumalanga.
When local organisations are equipped with the right tools, they are better positioned to turn community priorities into meaningful and lasting impact.
Indalo Inclusive implements the CIIVIC Project in partnership with the Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs (Dardlea7) and the Mpumalanga Green Cluster Agency(MGCA).
