Who we are:

The Centre for Logistics Excellence is ideally positioned to provide the best possible education programmes in the fields of Supply Chain and Warehousing Management, as our material was developed by practitioners and experts from industry. Our learning programmes are based on education content that was established in 1982 and was provided originally under the auspices of the Materials

Handling Research Unit of the University of the Witwatersrand, in association with the SA Institute of Materials Handling - a professional association representing the materials handling industry. Then in 1998, the Centre for Logistics Excellence was established to provide these qualifications. Accreditation:

Our unit standard aligned programmes are registered SAQA unit standards in accordance with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and we are an accredited education provider with TETA, W&R SETA and MERSETA. The Centre for Logistics Excellence is a SAPICS (The Association for Operations Management of Southern Africa) AEP (Authorised Education Partner). As an AEP we are able to offer both the SAPICS and APICS courses as we have met the standards and criteria as determined by SAPICS. Simulations:

Due to the industry being of a practical nature, CLX has developed various warehousing, logistics & supply chain simulations. These were designed to support the concepts taught in our courses, for a better knowledge retention with our learners. These simulations are part and parcel to most of our courses, but can be offered as a stand-alone simulation. Skills assessments:

Not sure which course you should embark on? Trying to find out which candidate would be the best person for the job? Need to develop a Work Skills Plan (WSP) or a PDP for colleagues in your company? Being involved in the consultation for many logistics & supply chain companies - we have heard this more than we should. To provide an answer to these questions - CLX has designed an industry assessment platform, AssessMe! Give our Sales Team a call or drop an e-mail at [email protected]
