Some of you are relatively new to our Theron's Meat Family page.

I, Mrs. T, am actively involved in building this business and am the only person who creates content for this page.

The long-haulers on our page know that I made a promise when I started this page. I am the only one engaging with you. We don't pay offsite content creators, and I research and test our content myself. I don't build content unless it's positive, informative, educational, uplifting, and focused on adding value to the lives, minds, bodies, and souls of my family/audience.

I have a confession to make:
The last three months have been extremely challenging in keeping our business functional.
NOT because we do not have a steady flow of customers and business to be done, but because of criminal activity and poor service delivery from the ANC/EFF/ACTIONSA, a lack of leadership and management, and the looting of our City's Coffers.

I find it soul-tiring, back-breaking, and impossible to stay positive.

Prep this hearty breakfast bread tonight, pop it into the oven tomorrow morning, and pack a few slices for lunch. Save this recipe for an easy make-ahead meal!

Breakfast Sausage Bread Recipe
Total time: Prep: 25 minutes, plus rising time | Bake: 25–30 minutes | Makes: 2 loaves (32 servings; 16 slices each)

Ingredients
• 2 loaves (450 g each) frozen white bread dough, thawed
• 500 g thin Theron's Boerewors
• 250 g Theron's diced shoulder bacon
• 1½ cups diced fresh mushrooms
• ½ cup chopped onion
• 3 large eggs, divided
• 2½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
• 1 teaspoon dried basil
• 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
• 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 100 ml olive oil, for lightly stir-frying the bacon

Method
1. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
2. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
3. In a large frying pan, cook the boerewors, mushrooms, and onion over medium-high heat for 6–8 minutes, or until the sausage is no longer pink. Break the sausage into crumbles as it cooks, then drain.
4. Lightly stir-fry the diced shoulder bacon in 100 ml olive oil.
5. Transfer the cooked sausage mixture and bacon to a bowl. Mix lightly and allow to cool.
6. Stir in 2 eggs, the mozzarella, and all the seasonings.
7. Roll each loaf of dough into a 16 × 12 in (about 41 × 30 cm) rectangle.
8. Spread half the sausage mixture over each rectangle, stopping 1 in (2.5 cm) from the edges.
9. Starting from a short side, roll up each rectangle jelly-roll style. Pinch the seams to seal, then place the loaves on a greased baking sheet.
10. Whisk the remaining egg in a small bowl and brush it over the tops.
11. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.

The Story of Mrs. Thompson and Teddy

When Mrs. Thompson stood before her new class at the beginning of the school year, she lied to the children and said that she loved them all equally. That was impossible, however, because right in front of her sat Teddy Stoddard—a little boy who always looked untidy, did not play with the other children, and whose clothes smelled like a home that was not cared for. In time, Mrs. Thompson even began to take a kind of cold pleasure in marking his work with a thick red pen and writing large "F" s at the top of his pages.

One day, however, she had to review herpupils'’ school reports from previous years. When she came to Teddy's, she received a great shock:
• His Grade 1 teacher wrote: "Teddy is a bright child with a ready smile. He does his work neatly and has good manners... he is a joy to have in class."
• His Grade 2 teacher: "Teddy is an excellent pupil, but he is worried because his mother is suffering from a terminal illness. Life at home must be a struggle."
• His Grade 3 teacher: "His mother's death has affected him deeply. He is trying his best, but his father shows little interest. His home life will soon affect him if no one intervenes."
• His Grade 4 teacher: "Teddy is withdrawn and shows little interest in school. He does not have many friends and sometimes sleeps in class."
Mrs. Thompson felt deeply ashamed.

The turning point came at Christmas, when all the children brought her gifts wrapped in beautiful paper. Teddy's was wrapped in an old brown shopping bag. When she opened it, she found a cheap plastic bracelet with half its stones missing and a small bottle of perfume that was three-quarters empty. The other children began to laugh, but she silenced them by putting on the bracelet and dabbing some of the perfume on her wrist.

At the end of that day, Teddy stayed behind and said to her: "Mrs. Thompson, today you smelled exactly the way my mother used to smell. And the bracelet looks just like hers."

After Teddy left, Mrs. Thompson fell to her knees and wept. From that day on, she stopped merely "teaching school" and began to educate children. She gave Teddy extra attention, and his mind came alive again. By the end of the year, he was one of the top students in the class.

Years passed, and Mrs. Thompson regularly received letters from Teddy:

•The first letter said that he had graduated from high school as the third-best student in his class.
•Four years later, he wrote that it had been difficult, but that he had earned his university degree with the highest honours (cum laude).
•A few more years later, a letter arrived explaining that he had completed his doctorate. The letter was signed: Dr. Theodore F. Stoddard.
In his final letter, he invited her to his wedding. He explained that his father had passed away and asked whether Mrs. Thompson would sit in the place at the wedding that was usually reserved for the groom's mother.

She went. She wore that same old bracelet with the missing stones and made sure she was wearing the perfume Teddy's mother had worn. When they met and embraced, Dr. Teddy whispered in her ear: "Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for making me feel important and for showing me that I could make a difference."

With tears in her eyes, Mrs. Thompson whispered back: "No, Teddy, you have it completely wrong. You were the one who taught me. I did not know how to teach children until I met you."

Sonder u sou daar geen dokters, ingenieurs, prokureurs, sakmanne, diesverskaffers en vele ander beroepe bestaan nie.

'n Onderwyser is inderdaad een van die belangrikste beroepe in die wêreld omdat u die fondament vir alle ander take bou.

Waarom onderwysers spesiaal is.

- U invloed op ons kinders vorm die basis vir alles wat hulle in die lewe moet aanpak, oorkom en bemeester.

- Lewenslange lesse: Die voorbeeld wat u stel saam met opvoedkundige teorie en die toepassing van praktiese kennis, rus ons kinders vir die lewe toe. U leer ons kinders hoe om reg op te tree.

- U bou `n Toekoms: U plooien jongmense se talente uit wat natuurlik kom, gekombineer met harde en eerlike werk, sodat ons van die wêreld 'n beter plek maak.
