1. Have your pitch ready on who you are. FOCUS on your pitch towards the skills you have and MATCH it to the job you applied for. You NEED to prepare for each interview. Write down keywords you NEED to mention.
2. Have both your CV and the job spec open to help you FOCUS and don't go on talking unnecessarily. Example.. It does not help to talk about your dreams when it is not relevant to the job you applied for.
3. Where do you see yourself in 3 to 5 years....ALWAYS answer growing within the firm and adding value. Gaining knowledge completing a higher qualification. Keep this answer short and concise and broad. There is NO need to be specific.
4. In an interview always keep in mind think like the Employer not an employee. What does he the Employer want to hear?
How do I win over another candidate? Remember that you are always competing against other candidates. The employer has a choice to employ the best. They are the ones paying you to work. Applying and getting a job is all about what can you offer THEM. I sometimes find candidates forget this. Example..
If you opened a salon and you were offering to pay a person £1000 pm out of your revenue earnings. Do you want to hear them talking about their dreams of being an athlete or do you want to hear them about hairstyles and skills focussed on the job?
Interview FOCUS on the job and remember who is paying you and why?
I hope these few tips help you close the offer on your new job. Give me feedback and let me know your thoughts😎👏👏
