Johannes Jochemus Jacobs is appearing in the Cape Town Regional Court today and tomorrow in two separate matters relating to alleged financial crimes to the value of R41 million and R19 million respectively.

Jacobs is currently a person of interest in an alleged advance fee fraud involving Annemarie Joubert and a company known as Unique Auto Finance (Pty) Ltd.

PUBLIC WARNING:

Georgie Da Lanca, also known by the names Georgie Fletcher, Georgie Banks, Lisa Saks, Lisa Levi, Kim Morgan, Gina, and multiple other aliases, and who is currently on bail for fraud, has been reported as continuing to misrepresent facts to people and is allegedly threatening, intimidating and harassing people.

IRS is in possession of recent videos of Da Lanca which she has sent to people with the purported aim of intimidating and harassing them.

IRS has been advised that a further case has been opened against Da Lanca at Douglasdale SAPS.

Da Lanca and various other South African and Congolese nationals were previously arrested and charged as part of a criminal syndicate targeting people in elaborate scams involving coltan, palladium and other purported precious or industrial minerals. They are currently on trial in the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.

[UPDATE] The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) in Limpopo, conducted an operation at the office of the Municipal Manager in Polokwane this morning. The action follows a court order issued by the Polokwane High Court, which granted the permission to obtain information and documents in support of a criminal investigation into an alleged corruption scandal involving municipal principals and officials.

The DPCI remains committed to acting decisively and within the law, to ensure accountability and transparency in municipal operations.
