TTS Support Services is looking for two (2) Senior level Mining Draughtsmen to join our team in Centurion, Gauteng. If you have a strong background in technical modeling and a commitment to quality and mentorship, we want to hear from you.
➡️Key Responsibilities:
Technical Modeling: Model detailed designs using CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical (piping) projects.
Technical Drawing Preparation: Create detailed drawings for structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical projects using industry-leading CAD software.
Design Coordination: Collaborate with clients, engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate design changes and resolve technical issues.
Quality Assurance: Review and verify designs and drawings for accuracy, ensuring they meet industry standards, client standards, and project specifications (S.O.W.)
Mentorship: Guide junior drafters, check modeling and drawings, and help establish high-level drafting standards.
Problem-solving: Anticipate design challenges both on and off-site and propose practical solutions to minimize errors and delays.
Project File & Archives: Ensure all project documentation is maintained to standard and filed correctly. Manage completed project archives within company systems.
Traveling might be required for site visits, site establishments, client meetings,
➡️Skills & Qualifications
CAD Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoDesk (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit) or similar drafting software.)
Industry Standards: Strong understanding of design and compliance standards across structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in geometry, trigonometry, and algebra for accurate technical calculations.
Attention to Detail: High level of precision in technical drawings and site verification.
Communication: Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams and explain complex designs clearly to clients and colleagues.
3D Laser Scanning (Advantageous): Technical knowledge of scanning equipment and the ability to create as-built models from point cloud data will be highly regarded.
Site inspections (QCP) & ferifications.
Local & International traveling might be required from time to time pending the project requirements.
➡️Requirements
Experience: 3 - 5 years in drafting (structural, civil, mechanical, or electrical).
Software: Proficient in Autodesk, AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, or equivalent.
Autodesk Vault would be an advantage
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and mentoring capabilities.
