⚠️ Your safety always comes first.

Not every LPG cylinder is safe to use. If a cylinder shows signs of significant damage, it should be inspected and, where necessary, removed from service.

Some of the warning signs include:
🔸 Heavy rust or corrosion
🔸 Deep dents or major impact damage
🔸 A bent, damaged or leaking valve
🔸 A missing or badly damaged foot ring
🔸 Signs of fire or excessive heat exposure
🔸 Deep cuts or gouges in the cylinder

At Street Gas, we inspect cylinders presented for exchange. If we believe a cylinder is unsafe, we'll explain why and won't refill or exchange it until it's been dealt with appropriately.

If you're ever unsure about the condition of your cylinder, bring it in and we'll gladly have a look. It's always better to ask than to take a chance.

Safety isn't just good practice—it's everyone's responsibility.

💡 DID YOU KNOW?

Many people automatically place their LPG cylinder in the boot when transporting it home. However, in many vehicles, the safer option is to place the cylinder upright on the rear floor behind a front seat.

Why?

In a boot, loose items can shift during transport and potentially strike or damage the valve.

Placing the cylinder upright behind a seat helps keep it secure, prevents it from rolling around, and provides better protection for the valve.
