Pre-employment test: Testing a new employee is of utmost importance regarding the fact that you could determine the following: Previous dismissals, previous theft, sabotage, fraud and whether or not the employee lied on his or her CV, etc. Periodic tests: Testing the employee periodically could determine whether or not the employee involved him or herself in any criminal activities. Specific issues: Tests can be done on any criminal activity that occurred in the workplace to ensure that the truthful employee can be exempted from the investigation. CCMA: A Polygraph test is ad hearable in the CCMA, giving advantage to the employer when the Polygraph examiner testifies on behalf and in favour of the company.
