In this video, I investigate why a Mobi Lodge owner complain about a possible electrical burn he noticed in his caravan.

I have made a few videos already about electrical issues on other caravans where we idenrify possible Electrical & Mecanical Hazards in caravans.

​I Designed, Manufactured & Installed this heavy-duty Lithium Battery Power and solar installation on a client's Toyota Land Cruiser LX V8, and the results speak for themselves.

​Power System: Full custom Power Management System installation with clear-read charge/load gauges and dedicated circuit protection.

​Energy Storage: 2x 210Ah LiFePO4 batteries for massive, reliable power reserves (420Ah TOTAL!).

​Solar Power: Full Solar PV installation done on a Bundutec roof setup to keep everything topped up off the grid (480W).

CARAVAN BATTERY CHARGING FROM VEHICLE - HIGH POWER CONNECTIONS

✴️ Vehicle: Toyota Land Cruiser 300
✴️ Charging Connections to ANY Caravan / Trailer

Using the vehicle alternator system to charge the caravan batteries while towing, there are actually quite a few options when considering connections between vehicle & caravan.

In this project, I used our Extreme Duty Charge Connectors:
⚫️ BLACK for NEGATIVE
🔴 RED for POSITIVE

The connectors are rated at 150 Amp max continuous, or 450 Amp peak pulse currents of 5s (for Jumpstarting vehicles), especially useful when we do our charging systems at 60 Amp to 150 Amp (depending on vehicle).

Yes there are many solutions to the high power charging systems designs, I use this High Power, 2 Connector Kit - 1 for Positive & 1 for Negative, which means our 65 Amp charge rates from this Toyota Land Cruiser 300 will be within the specified ratings.

It looks neat with the custom towbar bracket made for this Toyota Land Cruiser 300 GRS.
