and in August! 🌸

The outfits you see here are just a tiny drop in the ocean of everything that happens behind the scenes. So here’s my little August life recap , mostly for me, but maybe you’ll enjoy it too!

Franskraal is starting to feel like home, and August was FULL of family, friends and beautiful surprises.

✨ An unexpected visit with our daughter Esther Aucamp in Stellenbosch , and this Mommy’s heart was HAPPY!
✨ Reconnecting with old varsity friends and family we hadn’t seen in 19–26 years!
✨ Visits, coffee dates, lunches, sleepovers, card games 😂 and lots of catching up.
✨ Friends from Joburg becoming friends in our new Gansbaai life.
✨ And the sweetest blessing , one of my subscribers Karina De Bruin opening their home to us so we could spend time with Esther. ♥️

And through it all, my best friend, Hubby, has been right there , washing dishes, shopping with his beloved lists 😂, walking Lilo, occasionally cooking and braaiing, and building a new business.

And then there’s styling. 👗

It’s my creative outlet. My happy place. And honestly, quite therapeutic. So whether anyone watches, likes or comments… I’m going to keep doing it!

The wardrobe styling sessions in person and online are always highlights for me and August’s were exactly that once again.

Thanks for following along with this very full, very ordinary, very blessed life of mine.

Too-short top? 👀

These T-shirts from Uniq Clothing are a little too short for wearing with regular-rise pants, but they’re such great quality that I want to be able to wear them with everything!

So, here’s how I solved the problem , because sometimes a little styling trick is all you need! 😉

As confused as the season? 🤨

This was literally me today! 😂 Apparently, we’re having a warm winter here in the Western Cape, while my friends up north are already dressing for summer! 🤷🏻‍♀️

Luckily, I could keep my base outfit and simply change the top layer. And the shoes? I only changed those once! 😂

Because dressing for an in-between season is basically a style workout of its own! 😉
