Welcome to So Sew Sewing Studio.
My sewing classes are structured in such a manner that individuals can work at their own pace.
Therefore, you will determine how many classes you need to achieve the level of competency you require. Kindly note that this is private sewing class and you will not receive a diploma.
The training fall into the following groups
► Basic Sewing;
► Pattern-making & pattern changing;
► Dress-making & alterations;
► Curtain-making & Roman Blinds.
► Holiday Programs
Course syllabuses includes
►Step-by-step guide to sewing techniques
► Learn to use your sewing machine
►Learn about different fabrics.
►Know which type of needles to use for each kind of fabric
►Sew buttonholes, darts, zipper, hems, pleats, elastic etc.
►How to take body measurements
►Read, cut and adjust commercial sewing patterns i.e. Burda, Simplicity, McCalls etc.
►And projects to complete.
Our classes are relaxed as we strive to finish a garment every month.
The sewing technique-notes can be kept easily in a file for future reference
We make event and season related projects.
There will be only 6-8 sewing students in a scheduled class.
You may bring your own sewing machines we have various makes of sewing machine available.
When you bring your own sewing machine you will learn & work on your own machine, and thereby improving your familiarity with your work environment.
You are going to need a basic sewing kit which can be order and purchased from us or the list of items will be forwarded to you on request.
The class fees for the scheduled training :
► Weekdays classes consist of:
• Monday 14:00 - 16:00 @ R800 pm
• Evening 18:00 - 20:00 @ R990 pm
• Tuesday 14:00 - 16:00 @ R800 pm
• Wednesday 14:00 -16:00 @ R800 pm
• Wednesday 18:00 - 20:00 @ R990pm (Evening only over 18s)
► Weekend Prime classes consist of:
• Saturday Prime Classes 8:00 – 10:45 @ R1499pm
• Saturday Prime Classes 11:00-14:00 @ R 1499 pm
• Basic sewing kit R 800
Pre- paid Sew time R 35 per hour
