During winter Kikuyu grass do not die, it's only the grass leaves that turn a brownish-yellow colour in order to conserve water and nutrients. The root system underneath is still strong and healthy. 😌💪

When planting Kikuyu instant lawn during winter, the roots will still soak up all food and water and recovery happens very quickly after the winter. You will commonly see bright green grass leaves sprouting early in spring. With proper care after planting, your lawn will look fantastic by the time summer hits!
