Today is World Mental Health Day 🧠💚

The World Health Organization estimates that 15% of working-age adults live with a mental disorder, and that 12 billion working days are lost every year to depression and anxiety, costing the global economy around US$1 trillion.

WHO is clear that work-related mental health conditions are preventable, and that risks at work, including unsafe working conditions and excessive hours, can make things worse. For employers, people-first safety is part of the same conversation: safe conditions, manageable workloads and managers who notice when someone is struggling.
