Hey guys, if you have a registered company even if it doesn't have a business account and it's not operating please file your annual returns with CIPC. Especially if you want to use it in the future otherwise they will close it.
Also file your annual returns with SARS, yes even if it's not operating with no bank account they still want you to file them. SARS is worse because they fine your business if you don't file. Last year a friend who had registered a company 5 years ago and it didn't operate later she wanted to use it, boom she must pay R6K to SARS. Right now it's the 2 pot season so they won't play they will take their money and give you back whatever.
Since 2017 companies are automatically registered with SARS hence your reg docs have a tax number, you don't have to physically go to SARS to apply for it.
So please file your CIPC and SARS returns every year.
