There is a lot of dedication that comes with farming land.

It is feet on the ground day after day, walking rows, checking blocks, speaking to workers, looking at what changed overnight, and sometimes getting lost on the far corners of the farm before starting again the next morning. It is practical work, but it also asks for attention, patience, and the willingness to make decisions that may only show their value much later.

Everything we do is tied to getting closer to the land and understanding what it can give us. When you visit Kloovenburg or open one of our bottles, we hope you feel a little of the work that went into it before it ever reached your table.

The Eight Feet range has always sat close to the family. It speaks to the four du Toit brothers, their time growing up around the cellar and the years of work that have gone into building this farm into what it is today.

We are excited by what we have achieved, but also by what still lies ahead. There is always more to learn, more to build, and more to bring from this farm into your glass.

Our 2026 harvest was a strong one, and we saw some incredible fruit come into the cellar.

The team worked long hours, and you could feel the energy of harvest across the farm. From the vineyards to the cellar, every person played their part in guiding the grapes through the process and making sure each step was handled properly.

This is a thank you to the team behind it all. We are fortunate to work with people who understand this farm, this fruit, and the responsibility of turning it into wine. Because of them, we get to share this part of the Swartland with people all over the world.

Winter has arrived on the farm, and the tasting room fireplace is doing its work again 🍷🔥

Come sit with us, taste through the range, and let us help you find a red that suits the colder days. If you’re heading home, take one of our Estate reds with you and keep Kloovenburg close to the table this winter.

Our Mourvèdre is an excellent choice for richer winter cooking, while our Grenache and Garnacha Pelluda sit beautifully next to lamb, a pot on the stove, or a fire going at home.

We’d be glad to see you at the tasting room, or send you home with the right bottle for the season.
