Spring has sprung, and the sun is NOT holding back. ☀️

So here’s a thought: while you’re outside soaking up the sun (braai tongs in hand, kids in the pool, drink in hand), your roof could be doing exactly the same thing.

Solar that works while you play means you come home to a house that’s ready for you. Lights on, pool pump humming, fridge cold, and no checking to see what the grid’s up to.

Because those long spring and summer evenings belong to the people who matter. Friends. Family. Good times. 🥂

Leave the energy to us.

☕🌍 That’s a wrap on World Coffee Day, Planeteers!

What a brew-tiful day it was! Free coffees poured, cups, lids and stirrers sorted into the right recycling bins, and a whole lot of coffee grounds now on their way to becoming garden gold. 🌱

And your Earth Warrior photos? Wow. Reusable mugs, leafy backdrops, and some seriously heroic planet-saving poses.

But one Planeteer brewed up something special… 👀

Our Coffee Warrior has been crowned! 🏆

To our winner: thank you for showing us that saving the planet can start with something as simple as your morning cuppa. You’re proof that small habits make a big difference. 💚

And to everyone who joined in, from the office or from wherever you were: thank you for raising your mugs to a greener planet. Keep that Earth Warrior energy brewing all year round!

Coffee in hand. Planet at heart. Until next time! ☕🌍

Filled up this week? Ja, we felt that too. 😅⛽

Petrol’s over R30. Electricity’s up. Again. And there’s another increase already booked for April. 🙄

We can’t do much about the petrol price (we’ve tried shouting at the pump, the television, and just shouting...it doesn’t help).

But your power at home? Now that you can sort out. ☀️

Let your roof start paying its way with a New Planet Solar Solution. You get lights on, Wi-Fi strong, and braai plans uninterrupted. 🔥

We love a good cuppa. But what do we love even more? A greener planet. ☕🌍

Today, we treated our New Planet team to coffee on us for International Coffee Day—and challenged our Planeteers to bring their best Earth Warrior energy to their coffee snaps!

Our coffee shop gave us another reason to smile: the cups, stirrers and lids can all be recycled, and the used coffee grounds can find a second purpose in compost. Even after the last sip, there’s more brewing. 🌱

Swipe for a few coffee breaks with the people who help us power a brighter future.

Keep an eye on our page—we’ll be announcing our Coffee Warrior here!

Most small businesses don’t have an ESG problem. They have an implementation gap.

At the ESG Africa Conference this week, our Managing Executive Grahame Cruickshanks will show SMMEs where to start. Your utility bills already hold a year of energy data. That’s enough to set a carbon baseline, make one practical change and track what it saves.

Grahame will draw on what New Planet does in its own business, from solar on our buildings to trialling an EV for our Gauteng maintenance team.

You don’t need to be listed to be accountable.
Catch Grahame on the Understanding the ESG Reporting Landscape panel at the Sandton Convention Centre, 30 September – 1 October: https://lnkd.in/dPFjEPCD

☀️⚡ Want to make your solar work harder for you?

Start with load shifting. Use your energy-intensive appliances like washing machines, dishwashers and pool pumps during the sunniest part of the day, when your solar system is generating the most energy.

🕙 Aim for around 10am–2pm to make the most of your solar generation. Instead of drawing as much energy from the grid, you can use more of the clean energy your system is already producing.

🌱💚It’s a simple change to your daily routine that can make a meaningful difference.

Small shift. Smarter energy. Bigger impact.
