I receive a lot of DMs from people asking me for funding or money to buy prop firm accounts, with claims that they have a killer trading strategy and all they lack is capital. They genuinely believe this.

But from my experience, I know the lack of capital is not their main problem. In my experience of over a decade, I have tried to help people with funds, and the result is always the same: a blown account and a lot of excuses.

So whenever I get these requests, I always ask the same question: “Besides trading, what do you do for income?” And the answer is always the same: “Nothing. Trading is my passion. I believe I will make it trading.” Blah blah blah.

People have covered laziness with “passion for trading.” They don’t want to do honest work anymore to fund their so-called passion, it’s laziness. If you believed in your trading strategy so much, then why won’t you do something, even if it’s for minimum wage, to fund it? Even if it’s general work, or selling something, to fund your so-called dream. They don’t, because it’s not a capital issue, it’s an identity issue. Laziness covered with excuses.

No one talks about the loans they took to fund their accounts and blew. They don’t talk about the broken relationships with family and friends because they lost money they promised to double in a week. They won’t tell you about the compromises they made, the corners they cut, the shady deals they made, just so they could cover rent and pay car installments and rent. That is the dark reality that, unfortunately, many young people find themselves in.

Young people are being lured into this industry as a cheap alternative to hard work. They are being sold the idea of dropping out of school or quitting their jobs to pursue a career in forex trading because “it is easy money” and “it offers freedom to live life on your terms.” This is all a myth. Nobody talks about the realities many people face when they take this route: people have lost lots of money, they are in debt, they have destroyed relationships, and they are struggling mentally because they were sold a lie.

If we can be honest with ourselves, trading exposes the deepest weaknesses you have and hate to admit. If you disagree then we know you are not an accountable person thanks to trading for exposing you 😂😂.
