Today, we celebrate and appreciate Simukai Garikai Mandizvidza, popularly known as Abra Simzz music producer, record label executive, radio and club DJ, and radio personality who played a revolutionary role in shaping Zimbabwe’s music and showbiz landscape.

Through Abra Simz and the Abra Tribe, he helped nurture and mentor numerous artists, some of whom went on to become household names. His influence extended beyond music production to shaping the look and feel of local showbiz, while opening doors for international collaborations that put Zimbabwean artists on the map.
Remember Rise Up Zimbabwe by Red Rat? That’s just one of the many memorable projects associated with this era.

Working alongside Jusa Dementor, Tytan and other members of the Abra Tribe, Abra Simzz is part of a movement that pushed boundaries, created opportunities and left a lasting mark on the industry.

Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a legacy of creativity, mentorship and cultural influence. Happy birthday, Abra Simzz! Respect for the contribution you made to Zimbabwean music
