Tshepiso Matentjie is an Educational Psychologist, Co-Active Coach and part-time lecturer at the Centre for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (CAAC) at the University of Pretoria as well as at Wits University at the School of Public Management and Development. She served as co-director of the African Institute for Human Capital Development for six years. She also runs a private practice i
n Strubensvalley in the West Rand near Roodepoort. She obtained her first Masters degree in Higher Education cm laude from the University of Stellenbosch. Her experience spans 16 years in executive, career and life coaching, academic development and counselling, working with university students, educators and communities at University of Cape Town, University of the North, Technikon SA (now UNISA) as well as University of Pretoria. She is also the Resident Psychologist on 3-Talk with Noeleen on SABC 3. She served as Consultant Psychologist and Executive Producer to the I’spani television show on SABC 2, which focuses on enabling graduates to get mentorship and job placements in the corporate sector. She also served as a Consultant Educational Psychologist at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls. She served as Consultant Psychologist and Governance Coach to the Hollard Foundation as well as their member NPO’s focussing on Orphaned and Vulnerable Children in Gauteng and Mid-Vaal. She served on the Board of Trustees for the Tomorrow Trust, which is a non-profit organisation aimed at providing formal educational support to orphaned and vulnerable children. She has contributed chapters to books and is published in numerous journals locally and internationally. She gives seminars and runs workshops on Personal Mastery, Emotional Intelligence, Change Readiness Intervention to corporate client as well as those that target the education sector on Addressing Barriers to Learning, Curriculum Adaptations, Differentiated Teaching, ADHD Behaviour Management, Study Skills and Strategies for learners, Discipline and Diversity as well as EQ Teaching and Learning.
