Our client is currently recruiting four candidates (2x pilots and 2x crew) qualified RPL drone pilots to support upcoming operations focused on VTOL platforms, close-range surveillance, and BVLOS missions, targeting deployment in August 2026. The project will be abroad.

Operational Scope:
• Close surveillance and real-time monitoring
• BVLOS flight operations
• Integration with AI-driven detection and analytics systems
• Security and infrastructure inspection environments

Minimum Requirements:
• Valid Remote Pilot License (RPL)
• Experience with VTOL drone platforms
• BVLOS operational experience (or willingness to certify)
• Strong situational awareness and mission discipline
• Familiarity with real-time video/data systems (advantageous)
• Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods (depending on the contract)
• Valid passport

Preferred:
• Night flying experience
• Experience in security or tactical surveillance operations
• Exposure to AI/computer vision-assisted workflows

This role operates within a structured, high-performance environment with a strong focus on precision, compliance, and real-time decision-making.

Selection Process:

• Technical evaluation of flight experience and platform capability

RPAS Pilot required for Crop Spraying operation based in Pretoria.

Must have the following valid/current qualifications:

• Valid Department of Agriculture Aerial Application PCO Certificate.
• RPL - Multirotor VLOS.
• Aviation Medical Class 3.
• AVSEC
• Criminal Background verification / Police Clearance.
• Dependable own transport (bakkie is a bonus)
• CV
• Copy of ID

Pilot will be required to supply a Pilot Logbook with relevant experience:

A California-based startup, SiFly, has shattered the electric drone endurance record with its Q12 quadcopter, which stayed aloft for a jaw-dropping 3 hours and 11 minutes—nearly an hour longer than the previous record. Validated by Guinness World Records, the flight marks a major step forward for electric drone technology.

What makes this breakthrough special? The Q12 defies the limits of traditional quadcopters by combining a smart battery-to-weight ratio (batteries make up 60% of its weight), ultra-efficient rotors, and aerodynamic design. It’s basically a giant flying battery with smooth propellers that can cruise silently for hours.

With the FAA soon finalizing rules that will expand drone missions beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS), SiFly’s timing couldn’t be better. The Q12 is already seeing interest from agriculture, public safety, and search-and-rescue sectors, thanks to its 10-pound payload, thermal and zoom camera capabilities, and ease of use.

Even more exciting? SiFly is developing a larger Q250 model to team up with the Q12 for heavy-duty missions like wildfire response and cargo drops.

RPAS Consulting is looking for a B-VLOS-rated RPAS Pilot to join us for Mining Work in the Steelpoort area starting 27 September. The pilot will fly between 7 and 14 days per month. Candidates must have sober working habits, good communication and interpretation skills, and an aptitude for working in a mining-type environment. Basic Computer literacy is essential. The work will be mostly daytime but can also be at night.

Successful candidates must have the following valid and current certifications:
• RPL for MR
• Current Aviation Medical (Class 3)
• CAA accredited BVLOS rating.
• AVSEC
• Criminal Background Check

The following will be advantageous:
• RMT license
• Mine flying experience
• Experience in night operations

The successful candidate must have their own reliable transport. The company will cover the travel expenses. Accommodation, three meals per day, and a data allowance will be provided.
