Mentorly Africa is a networking forum with the aim of empowering and arming professional women with the confidence they need to grow across all stages of their careers, all while offering training and upskilling.

Across the continent, women are building careers, leading teams, starting businesses, holding families, and carrying expectations that were never designed with their wellbeing in mind.

And still, they are expected to figure it out quietly.

We see women stepping into leadership without support systems that sustain them.
We see ambition outpacing access.
We see talent being forced to survive environments that were never built for it to thrive.

Mentorly Africa was created in response to this reality, not as a commentary, but as a commitment.

A commitment to build what is missing:
✔ Mentorship that is accessible, not exclusive
✔ Leadership spaces that are human, not performative
✔ Conversations that lead to action, not inspiration alone
✔ Support systems that understand context, not theory

This is the work we have been doing.
And this November in Gaborone, we bring it into one shared space.

The Mentorly Africa Summit (7–8 November) is not about awareness.
It is about strengthening the women already doing the work and expanding what is possible when they are supported intentionally.

Because the future of leadership in Africa is not waiting to be discovered.
It is already here, it just needs to be backed.

This year, we are doing things differently.
For the first time, the Mentorly Africa summit 2026 is becoming a TWO DAY experience and honestly, we could not be more excited about what we are building.
Over the years, so many women have told us:
“I wish we had more time.”
“I wish the conversations could go deeper.”
“I wish there was space to ask questions, connect, heal, and actually grow.”
So this year, we listened.

Day 1?
Will be the summit experience you know and love, powerful conversations, inspiring speakers, honest storytelling, leadership, wellness, confidence, networking, and the energy that makes Mentorly Africa feel like home.

But Day 2?
That’s where we go deeper.
Smaller rooms.
Real conversations.
Interactive workshops.
Mentorship.
Confidence building.
Leadership conversations.
Growth that feels personal.
This is no longer just an event. It is an experience intentionally created for women who are trying to navigate purpose, pressure, growth, adulthood, leadership, healing, career, and becoming.

And trust us… we have some exciting things coming.

Mentorship has the power to change the direction of someone’s life, sometimes simply through one honest conversation, one moment of clarity, or one person choosing to pour back into others intentionally.

A sincere thank you to Nizenande Machi for being part of The Growth Room and for showing up so generously for our mentees. Your willingness to guide, listen, and share openly created the kind of impact that cannot always be measured immediately, but will be carried long after the room has closed.

Thank you for helping us remind women that they do not have to navigate growth alone.

There is something deeply powerful about women who choose to reach back and guide others with honesty, intention, and care.

Thank you to Katlego Gaborone for being part of The Growth Room and for the time, wisdom, and encouragement you poured into our mentees. Mentorship matters because it reminds women that growth is possible, challenges can be navigated, and no one has to figure everything out alone.

We appreciate your commitment to helping create spaces where women feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

“Sometimes the most powerful thing you can give a woman is a safe space to be honest about where she is.”

As we close out the first edition of The Growth Room, we’re reminded that mentorship is not about having all the answers, it’s about creating spaces where women feel seen, heard, supported, and guided as they navigate life, career, purpose, and growth.

What we witnessed in the room was honesty, vulnerability, courage, and women choosing to show up for themselves and for each other. That is the kind of community we want Mentorly Africa to continue building across the continent.

A special thank you to our Head of Mentorship, Segolame, whose heart for women and commitment to creating intentional mentorship experiences continues to shape the work we do. Thank you for helping us create spaces that allow women to speak freely, grow safely, and move forward with confidence.

This is only the beginning.

One thing we are learning through the .africa Growth Rooms is that so many women are carrying things they have never had the space to say out loud.
The pressure to succeed.
The fear of falling behind.
The uncertainty after graduation.
The exhaustion of trying to be strong all the time.
The quiet feeling of “maybe I’m the only one struggling.”
And then they enter the room, and suddenly, they realise they are not alone.

What makes the Growth Room special is not perfection. It is honesty. It is vulnerability. It is women choosing to show up for themselves and for each other. It is the courage to ask questions, to unlearn, to heal, to dream again, and to grow intentionally.

Every session reminds us why safe spaces matter. Why mentorship matters. Why community matters. Sometimes all a person needs is one room, one conversation, one moment of being seen to completely shift how they move forward in life. To every woman who continues to join us, trust us, and grow with us, thank you. The impact of these rooms goes far beyond what people see online.

And we are only getting started.

Mentorly Africa was created from a real understanding of what many women silently carry, uncertainty, pressure, isolation, burnout, fear, and the feeling that they have to figure life out alone.
Over time, we realised that what many women truly need are spaces where they can speak honestly, ask difficult questions, feel heard without judgment, and know that someone is willing to walk alongside them as they figure things out.

That is why we created The Growth Room.
This past weekend, we brought together the first cohort of Mentorly Africa mentees for a private and intentional mentorship experience focused on real conversations, direct access to mentors, and creating a safe environment where women could engage openly about where they are in life and where they hope to go.
What stood out most was not perfection. It was honesty. Women speaking openly about career uncertainty, confidence, transition, purpose, fear, and growth and real mentors taking the time to listen, guide, and pour back into them intentionally.

At Mentorly Africa, we want women to know that they are not alone. There is space for them here. There are people willing to listen. And there is still power in women helping other women move forward with clarity, dignity, and support.
This is the work we care about. Quietly, intentionally, and consistently.
