Prof Musa Manzi, Director of the Wits Seismic Research Centre, recently took delivery of the GPEG-500 accelerated weight drop seismic source supplied by Red Dog Scientific Services.

Prof Manzi's comments follow: "The Wits Geophysics team has been busy at work testing our new seismic equipment: Energy Source, Trigger System and some sensors. We keep celebrating small achievements in the seismic development at Wits. We appreciate all the unending support from our local and international colleagues, especially colleagues from Uppsala University. Geophysics Future Looks bright in South Africa. Thanks to Dr Bojan Brodic for coming through from Uppsala to share his experience and knowledge.

Javelin® Borehole Magnetic Resonance (NMR)

Vista Clara’s advanced Javelin family of borehole NMR magnetic resonance logging tools provide direct, low-cost, high-resolution measurements of hydrogeological properties that users really care about, including:
