The outcomes you can get from enrolling in a building and civil learnership are:

• You can obtain a National Certificate in Building and Civil Construction at NQF Level 3, which is recognized by the Construction Sector Education & Training Authority (CETA) and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

• You can learn the skills and knowledge to start and manage your own business or work as a painter, tiler, plasterer, mason, joiner, carpenter, or roofer in the construction industry

We are delighted to share with you the success story of Maria Dumekude.

Maria started her career with Golden Arrow 16 years ago, cleaning the offices. Today, she is responsible for helping to repair and maintain the Golden Arrow fleet of buses.

Maria joined an Artisan Development course in 2008, where she learned the theoretical and practical aspects of auto-electrical work. She also applied for an apprenticeship and in 2009 became a certified artisan.

Maria states that she is passionate about her work and loves the challenge of working in a male-dominated industry.

She is an inspiration to us and to many young girls who have similar ambitions to enter the transport industry. She is living proof that with hard work, determination, and the right training, anything is possible.

We congratulate her on her achievements. We hope that she will continue to grow and thrive in her career and inspire others to follow in her footsteps.
