To date, we’ve issued more than R7.5 million in EV charging vouchers through our partnerships with and – helping more drivers get on the road and start charging with Rubicon.

PAR FOR A GOOD CAUSE // Rubicon was proud to be part of the annual Plug & Play Solutions Charity Golf Day at Irene Golf and Country Club last Friday.

We set up on the 18th hole, where golfers could check out some of our EV charging solutions alongside a Geely Auto BEV.

Rubicon also sponsored EcoFlow prizes for the prize-giving – a fitting way to add a little extra power to the day.

Best of all, the day was in support of Building Little Legends, the charity beneficiary of this year’s event.

GET MORE FROM THE CAPACITY YOU INSTALL // Rated battery capacity and usable energy aren’t always the same thing. Depth of discharge (DoD) determines how much of the battery's rated capacity can be accessed during operation.

The WeCo 16K0-LV supports up to 100% depth of discharge, allowing more of its 16.06 kWh capacity to be accessed when the system is correctly configured.

Actual usable energy will depend on the application, inverter settings and warranty requirements. Rubicon can help you specify the right battery solution for your project.

ENERGY STORAGE IN ACTION // Another energy storage project is up and running – this time in Colchester, Eastern Cape.

For this customer project, WRB Electrical installed a Solis 8 kW inverter paired with a WeCo 16K0-LV battery, both supplied by Rubicon.

With 16.06 kWh of storage capacity, the WeCo 16K0-LV brings high-capacity, low-voltage energy storage together with integrated fire suppression, advanced battery management and IP66 protection.

Great to see another WeCo 16K0-LV out in the field. Nice work, WRB Electrical!
