As President & Group CEO of Matli Holdings Group and President of the Women African Tourism Board (WATB), this engagement reaffirms our shared mission to advance innovation, youth entrepreneurship, and women-led economic development across Africa and beyond.

The SU20 marks a defining moment in South Africa’s G20 Presidency year, bringing together Africa and the world in pursuit of inclusive growth, digital transformation, and sustainable enterprise. It underscores the rising influence of African leadership within the global innovation economy.

I am humbled and honoured to be found eligible for the award and recognition by AWAA 2025 - 100 African Women Achievers Awards and African Icon for Economic Enhancement 2025.

Must say the year has been trying and with serious business challenges yet these moments are critical reminders that though you might not be where you wanna be, you not where you used to be.

As I embrace this spring season in South Africa I also take a minute to appreciate all who believe in me and the work I do. Those who mentor me and hold me accountable, those who carry me, my mess and errors at times coz truly am just a girl from the farms of the Freestate trying to find her place in this big world.
