🗣️ Reflecting on 2024: Our Insights🐴

At Ceed Learning, we believe that true growth comes from both innovative approaches and hands-on experiences. Last year, we had the unique opportunity to attend an Equine Learning Experience with Carina Shaw from Promise Consulting, where we explored key lessons in leadership and team dynamics.

✨What we learned:

» Managing emotions effectively when facing uncertainty: The horses were led to new obstacles, and we learned that while we had knowledge of the outcome, these obstacles were new to the horses. We noticed that when we used strategies like deep breathing to recenter ourselves, the horses would respond to this composed energy with trust and higher confidence.

» Finding inspiration while honouring your own journey: Watching how other teams' horses responded or how they accomplished tasks could serve as inspiration, but focusing too much on comparisons distracted us from our own progress. Each team's journey is unique, and we learned to celebrate our own wins and growth while appreciating others' successes.

» Clear direction and purposeful leadership: Some horses required us to have a strong vision early on. If we weren't clear and consistent about where we were heading, the horses would start veering off or walking too close to us—almost as if they were seeking guidance on the path forward.

» Body language: Our body language directly influenced how the horses responded to us. It was a powerful reminder of how important it is for teams to be mindful of their non-verbal cues and how they can impact interactions and outcomes.

» Personalities differ: Each horse had its own unique personality! This reinforced the importance of adapting leadership and team strategies to fit different communication styles, backgrounds, and contexts in order to create the strongest connections and rapport.

These valuable lessons have deepened our commitment to designing and delivering high-impact learning experiences that nurture leadership, team cohesion and emotional intelligence. Just as each horse interaction revealed unique insights, we felt a renewed commitment to approach each client partnership with curiosity and purpose, collaborating to create transformative solutions that honor their distinctive culture and advance their specific goals.
