Hey everyone!
It's Appliance Maintenance Tips Monday with Howard's Appliance Repairs!
This week, we're tackling everyone's favorite chore (not really) - cleaning your oven!
Why it's important:
A dirty oven can be less efficient, costing you more money on your energy bills.
Grease buildup can become a fire hazard.
Nobody likes burnt food remnants!
Here's how to make your oven sparkle:
Prep work is key! Take out all the racks and anything else inside. You can soak the racks in warm soapy water to loosen baked-on grime.
Consult your manual! Different oven models may have specific cleaning instructions.
Baking soda to the rescue! Make a paste of baking soda and water. Spread it on the oven interior, avoiding the heating elements and electrical components. Let it sit for a few hours (or overnight for stubborn stains).
Scrub-a-dub-dub! Gently scrub the baking soda paste with a damp sponge or microfiber cloth. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly with a towel.
Don't forget the glass! Most oven doors have removable glass panels for easy cleaning. Use a glass cleaner or white vinegar solution to wipe away any streaks or grime.
