"According to Intell’s Women and the Web report, there are 45 percent fewer women than men in Africa who have access to the internet. The programme teaches women and girls how to access the internet through digital literacy training and online peer networking.
Partnering with Siyafunda Community Technology Centres, South African Women Entrepreneurs’ Network (SAWEN), UN Women, the Department of Communications, and SchoolNet South Africa, the programme aims to include five million women and girls by 2016, in Africa alone. This will reduce the gender digital divide by 50 percent"
