Steps to prevent your company from being deregistered in 2026 !
Every 12 months, the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) requires companies to submit their Annual Returns.
Failure to comply will result in your company being deregistered.
If your company has already been deregistered, the Reinstatement Process will require the following:
- Registration Documents
- Certified ID
- Copies of Directors
- Bank Statements
After registering your business, you are also required to submit a Beneficial Ownership (BO) Declaration with CIPC.
This is a legal requirement introduced to improve transparency, combat money laundering, tax evasion, and corruption. It ensures that the true individuals who ultimately own or control the company are disclosed to CIPC.
Failure to declare may result in penalties, compliance issues, and difficulties with banks, tenders, and investors.
