Why do we print in CMYK? 🖨️
Printing works with ink, not light. That’s why we use CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) instead of RGB.
These four ink colours combine in different percentages to create the full range of colours you see on printed materials. Black (the “K”) is added to produce deeper contrast, sharper detail, and true dark tones – something Cyan, Magenta and Yellow alone can’t achieve effectively.
In short:
CMYK is designed for ink and paper, which is why it’s the standard for professional printing.
All of this just to say, when you want us to print a design for you, provide it in CMYK for the best results.
