Join Le Riche as we celebrate our family and w**emaking heritage. With September being Heritage Month in South Africa, we pay homage to this with our Richesse, which is a blend that honours this heritage. A combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsaut, the Richesse is a traditional Heritage Blend and has been blended since the early 1900s.

Nature conservation has always been dear to our hearts, with our earlier family members being instrumental in the establishment of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and becoming its first game rangers in the mid-1930s. This legacy was maintained for over 60 years, with a Le Riche as game ranger at the helm of the park for more than six decades.

To celebrate both our nature conservation and w**emaking heritage, Le Riche W**es will donate 5% of all bottle sales of our Richesse during the month of September, showing the promotional sticker, to the Game Rangers’ Association of Africa (GRAA), Africa’s oldest and most representative ranger association, founded in 1970 and supporting over 6,000 rangers. Make a difference and help us to contribute to the wellbeing of not only South African, but African rangers at large. They play a vital and important role in protecting our continent, wildlife, and communities.

We are excited to share the release of the new vintage 2022 of our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

In the words of Greg Sherwood MW:

“With time in glass, the dark broody blackcurrant, blueberry, and black cherry notes unfurl, following on to the palate that is texturally a hybrid style between the silky, weightless concentration of the 2017 vintage and the bold fleshy opulence of the 2020 vintage. But the Le Riche Reserve is always deceptively easy to drink when young, with its incredibly pure, intense, voluptuous fruit concentration masking its true tannin structure hiding beneath. Wonderfully fresh and tangy in the mouth, this is another majestic effort from one of South Africa’s finest premium w**eries. Drink from 2026 to 2040+.”
