OPERATIONS MANAGER
Reporting directly to Board of Directors of Roshell Designs Group, Located Kingfisher Park in The Interchange, Somerset West. Roshell Designs is manufacturer of semi-precious jewellery for the tourism industry
CTC Salary Range: Dependent on qualification and experience
Minimum Qualification: Matric with Mathematics
Preferred Qualification: Operational Management / Logistics / Cost Accounting / Human Resources Diploma (i.e. NHD, AAC, CAT, CFA, IACAT, CJBlcb(SA))
Minimum Experience: 5 Years similar role
Minimum Requirement: No criminal record (To provide SAPS Clearance Certificate or willing to submit to Criminal Clearance Check) / Driver’s license with own transport
Other Requirements:
• Stock control systems and methodology, preferably of manufacturing with bill of materials
• Fluent in English and excellent communication and people skills
• Human resource experience in disciplinary procedures, performance reviews and KPI’s
• Mature person with self-confidence and high emotional intelligence
• Process driven; strong administrative and analytic skills
• Strong IT skills (MS Word, MS Excel, ERP type system)
• Knowledge of import and export legislation and procedures
• Detail orientated with solution orientated mind set
Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:
• Management of 20 to 30 no female employees in open office work station environment
• Production planning for entire value chain – raw materials, consumables, minimum stock holding, resource allocation, production allocation lots, resources, tool and equipment allocation, quality control, packaging and delivery logistics
• Management of stock control via daily perpetual stock take system, minimum reorder quantity and optimal order quantity calculations
• Manage compilation of and changes to bill of materials for finished good products
• Client interaction for continuous update on stock progress and delivery status
• Daily production tracking per workstation (employee), monthly performance review, ad hoc counselling for to ensure continuous production efficiency improvement coupled with acknowledgement incentive system for top achievers
• Human Resources – Employment contracts, KPI’s, Job descriptions, Standard operating procedures, Performance management, Disciplinary and counselling procedures, Prepare time sheets for payroll, Handle staff issues, Staff meetings, Staff leave records, etc
