Vredenheim is no ordinary wine farm! There's something for everyone at this family-owned estate - experience our range of wines, tasting room, unique Big Cats Park (home to lions, tigers, leopards and more), wildlife and game viewing, Angus cattle stud, picnics and beautiful gardens, Hudson's Restaurant, Barrique Restaurant, conference, wedding and function venues, vintage cars, boutique and more.

The Vredenheim estate is approximately 320 years old and is one of the oldest wine estates in the Stellenbosch winegrowing area. Coen and Rikie Bezuidenhout acquired Vredenheim in 1986, after moving to the Cape from their game farm in Kwazulu Natal. The couple’s love for game explains the impressive variety of wildlife on the farm today, including blouwildebeest, springbok, black springbok, eland, bontebok, fellow deer, oryx, zebras and ostriches. Owned today by the couple’s daughter, Elzabe Bezuidenhout, the farm also boasts fruit orchards, lush gardens, a paradise picnic venue, and two popular restaurants. A huge kiddie’s play area ensures that your little ones are kept entertained throughout your visit. Art exhibitions, functions and many other exciting activities are held regularly at our farm.
