Samuel Manabe Enterprise to submit its revised SAME Agro project to local government for job creation.
Openfield Agricultural Project is a 36 months agricultural entrepreneurship and job creation initiative project that will provide practical work experience to women and youth to be able to start their own agricultural projects.
Its aim is to provide, guide and promote agricultural farming entrepreneurship, initiatives and work experience to youth under the real experience with different farming concepts.
It will be consisting of the basic of primary agriculture practice in crop production, animal production and agroprocessing but limited to vegetables production, banana production, chicken eggs production, broiler production, cattle farming, sauce processing, juice processing, dried vegetables processing and ethnic vegetable production as the first level of practice.
The project will be practical practice at 20 hectares farm, Ezekhaya at Shilubane, 27km from Tzaneen and it will be divided into 20 small projects tied to crop rotation in the farm and linked to current farm agroprocessing to help all projects grow.
20 youth will be selected around the country and qualifying from their readiness to work, graduated from their different agricultural institutions that will give letter of reference to assist in our selections.
36 months of entrepreneurship mentoring and work experience will be equipped with basic training in all aspects of agricultural activity in the designed plots of the farm with business planning afforded to all youth.
Department of Agriculture, Department of Small Business and Local Government will be invited to be part of this proposal while support from different colleges and universities will be continued with their work integrated learning students to be part of this project.
Openfield will be project managed by SAME Agro on its path to job creation with the future to be built in owning its own markets and retail shops around.
