Blue is the least "gender specific" colour and has an equal appeal amongst men and women. It is a cool, calming colour that shows creativity and intelligence; blue also symbolises loyalty, strength, wisdom and trust.

Here are a few tips with regards to home design and decorating:

Deep Blues add refinement and encourages efficiency. These hues are a good choice for studies and bedrooms as it purifies thinking and clears the mind.
Light / Pastel Blues are best utilised in playrooms and/or nurseries, as it allows for harmonious expansion and gentle growth within an individual; however, light/pastel blues may come across as cold and chilly. In event of this within an area it will need to be balanced with warm hues in soft furnishings and personal touches.
