Wellness Wednesday: Psychological safety is a performance tool.
When people feel safe to speak up, ask questions, and admit mistakes early, teams move faster—and make fewer costly errors.
Psychological safety looks like:
- Questions are welcomed (not punished)
- Feedback is direct and respectful
- Mistakes become learning, not blame
- People can say: “I need help” before it becomes a crisis
A safe team isn’t a “soft” team. It’s a high-performing team.
At HR Matters (Pty) Ltd, we help leaders build cultures that support both wellbeing and results—creating Problem Free Workplaces.
What’s one thing leaders can do this week to make it safer to speak up?
