📣 Heritage Month Reflection from GrabAGrad 🌍
As we close out Heritage Month, we're reflecting on what it means to build a united heritage, one that honours our past, but also reimagines it for the future.
This March, GrabAGrad had the privilege of co-organising the Bushman Heritage Tour at the Castle of Good Hope, in collaboration with , as part of the ISPIM Cape Town Connect Conference. The tour centred Khoi and San storytelling, indigenous cuisine, ancestral ceremonies, and conversations on how ancient practices can shape contemporary innovation models.
This wasn’t just an event; it was a call to remember.
A reminder that indigenous knowledge is not static. It is a living, breathing archive of wisdom that continues to fuel social innovation, climate resilience, and community-driven entrepreneurship across Africa.
In a world obsessed with the "next big thing," we’ve seen firsthand how returning to our roots can unlock the most powerful innovations. From immersive workshops to cross-cultural storytelling circles with elders, we are honoured to have played a small part in this collective remembering.
This Heritage Month, we celebrate the communities, collaborators, and young changemakers reimagining innovation through a Pan-African lens.
🫱🏾🫲🏽 Here's to building futures rooted in Ubuntu, guided by intergenerational knowledge, and led by community power.
