Name change effective 1 September 2026
Dear Clients, Partners, Stakeholders & Service Providers
Sol Plaatje University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship & Rapid Incubator (CfERI) is now
known as the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Learning (CENTIL), effective 1

The name reflects the evolution of the Centre’s work. Entrepreneurship remains a central

emerged through the piloting of the Upington Learning Centre in 2025.
CENTIL continues to operate within SPU’s Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies
portfolio, supporting collaboration in research, innovation and engagement across faculties.
Please update your records and use the name CENTIL in future correspondence and
