The modus operandi or in simple the scam and share with others we don’t know who is next

I was waiting gor wats up pictures from a collegue for any event and he shared it after sometime infact after More than 24hrs and impromptuly I can’t access my wats up, I got a message that says u are unable to access wats up coz you have change the phone

As an IT person it’s hacked safety first I delete it .
I checked for my SIM card connectivity and boom it’s not with me. It’s with my daughter and it has network zero. She said her phone does not have network

Rushed to my service provider Vodacam Phela I have u der stood this is a scam. They were reluctant to help ,tried customer care not a available tried Twiter only responding to public messages not DMs ,tried AI waal it’s as good as dead

In simple all VoDACOM employees that I interacted failed me

Went back to Vodacom Gateway again and told they can’t help neeed to phone customer care

Apparently the scammer is busy sending messages asking for financial assistance but can’t answer the call
As an IT person the scam should take at most 24 hours and Vodacom is giving excuses to assist me

After 24 hours I went back back to Vodacom ,same shop ,same person ,and he is able to block the number do sim swap and everything act as if life is easy

SCAMs are really but them service providers or employees knows what is going on

Cmon why is it difficult to do a sim swap but scammer can do it
